This is a medium to very bulky weight hat designed to cover the ears.  The bottom edge is a very bulky blend of wool, mohair and alpaca plied with cotton cord.  The solid orange and green are both Corriedale wool.  The brown at the top and between the lumpy sections is undyed Romney wool.  The variegated orange and green section in the center is hand painted wool bulky weight Corriedale wool plied with some finer spun green Corriedale.  The lumpy section at the top is the same yarn as the bottom edge.
