This hat is made from some extra soft kid mohair with silk tussah trim.  I spun the mohair so as to leave some of the curls for texture.  It was a custom order with a request for a purple brim and some feminine colors with lots of pink.  Each color was dyed separately then carded together for the variegated effect.
