This is a standard length round cap designed to cover most or all of the ears.  It's made from bulky weight Corriedale and Romney wools.  The dark red is slightly variegated from a dark reddish purple to lighter rusty red, a dye technique that I especially like as it adds interest and variety to the work.  The light warm brown and brighter red are uncarded, raw Romney wool that has a more nubbly texture than the smoother Corriedale roving.  The sun splash design at the top is my own invention.
