This is a medium bulky weight hat designed to fully cover the ears.  The brim is and dark brown section near the top are undyed, uncarded Romney wool with some natural variegation.  The uncarded wool is a bit fluffier in texture.  The colored stripes are all Corriedale wool, which is smoother and more evenly textured because it has been carded (ie. combed).  The very thin slightly shiny stripes are tussah silk.
