This is a mostly wool thick spun ski cap with black alpaca accent stripes.  The fuzzy looking circle around the top is a blend of Merino wool and Samoyed hair.  The earflaps and wide stripe near the top are natural color grayish brown Romney wool. The dark green, olive green, and warm brown are all Suffolk wool which is somewhat variegated with bits of light and dark due to a high content of lanolin in the fiber which causes the dye to be uneven.  I like it when this happens because it adds interest to the look of the hat.
